St Peter and St Paul,  South Petherton

About Us

St Peter and St Paul is the parish church of South Petherton, a large village of some 3500 people in the heart of South Somerset, England.  It is situated just off the A303 trunk road which carries holidaymakers from the South East of England to Devon and Cornwall every Summer.

The village is surrounded by beautiful countryside and farmland which is some of the most fertile in the country. Vegetables from the area find their way into many of the UK’s supermarkets.

The village boasts a considerable number of shops, which mean that for many a trip to the major shopping centres of Yeovil and Taunton is often unnecessary.

The people of this area make up a vibrant community, with a mix of all ages, and St Peter and St Paul is the centre of church life for many. On other pages of this website you can discover more about the church, and what it does, and about community life in this lovely place.
